Did you know that micronutrients are vitamins and minerals that your body needs in small, but potent quantities? They are often referred to as the building blocks of health and include nutrients like selenium, zinc, iodine, B-vitamins, and vitamins A, C, D, E, and K. Deficiency in just one micronutrient can lead to serious health consequences if left unaddressed. A micronutrient analysis is designed to evaluate the number of micronutrients your body is absorbing and determine whether a micronutrient deficiency is putting your health and wellness at risk.
Did you know…
The majority of North Americans are deficient in at least one micronutrient? Organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. Department of Agriculture report that about half of Americans are deficient in vitamins A and C, as well as magnesium. Even more are deficient in vitamin D – including approximately 70 percent of the elderly population and 90 percent of people of color.
